The Denver Post is reporting that Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams has been charged with DUI. Williams was arrested on November 12, 2010 at approximately 2:40 a.m.
Williams has a prior DUI arrest from 2005.
If Williams pleads guilty or is convicted by a jury he faces a mandatory 10 day jail sentence (which may be converted to in home detention by the judge), up to $1,500 in fines, up to 120 hours of community service, and 2 years of mandatory probation.
These punishments are in addition to any that the NFL may impose.
It is unknown whether Williams will play in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
