You have the right to a trial, and the right to be judged by a jury of your peers.  You may also decide to have the judge hear the case, and that no jury be called.  This is permitted if the prosecutor and judge consent.  The jury trial is the more common election, though there are tactical reasons to having a judge trial.  This is something you will want to discuss with your attorney.
